Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
For by grace (His merciful kindest) are ye saved (saved from judgement) through faith (belief in God and His saving power); and that not of yourselves (nothing we do can save us): it is the gift of God (only by God's grace can we be saved).
A tremendous gift has been offered to you. Salvation from eternal judgement. Are you willing to accept this gift? The ball is in your court, gift has been offered...just needs you to accept it. This reminds me of a package being delivered to your doorstep. It is there waiting for you. You have the choice to take it in, open, and receive it...or to reject and discard the package. Christ has already paid for your "package of salvation". It is waiting at your doorstop. Will you open and receive your package or reject it? There are no requirements to acceptance of this package, only that you receive it.
