Luke 2:49-50 [49] And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business? [50] And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.
Thinking about this incident today. I understand Mary and Joseph being upset. They had "lost" Jesus for 4 days. Any parent can relate to the panic when you can't find a child. They scolded Jesus for not being with them as they supposed He should have been. He reminded them about His purpose for being here, to be "about His Father's business".
Sometimes we forget about the purpose of our being here. We are here to glorify God, but we get so busy about our own things that we forget.
