Psalm 130:5-6 I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. [6] My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
WAIT: Â to wait, look for, hope, expect
WATCH: Â to keep, guard, observe, give heed
The time of sunrise is listed each day. Â We know when it will come. Â Just this week we watched for the sun to rise over the horizon at the beach. Â We knew when we had to be outside to see it. Â We were not disappointed.Â
This verse speaks of waiting for the Lord being more vital than watching for the sun to rise each day. Â It is even repeated in the verse how much more important it is to wait for the Lord. Â
Be sure to be looking for and hoping for and expecting the Lord to be a part of each day! Â
It would be life altering of the sun did not rise this morning....but imagine if the Lord did not arrive in your day and the consequences of Him not being there!
