Wait for God

Psalm 69:1-3 [1] Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul. [2] I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. [3] I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.

A great way to read Psalms is when reading the chronological Bible.  It takes you through the trials that David is going through during each Psalm.

Lately I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed with things out of my control (and you know how I like things to be in control and kept in order).

A lot of times in Psalms David is crying out to God in one chapter for help and then rejoicing in the next chapter for help.  I looked forward several chapters and he cries for a long time here.

Sometimes God doesn't answer right away with help, sometimes "wait" is the answer.

My point is, keep crying out to God for His help, He hears you....He might just be saying wait.  As I look back on trials of the past, when I was in the 'crying out to God' stages is when I was closest to Him and saw His hand working in my life the most.

I began to record my thoughts each day from my devotions many years ago. I love to use the dictionary to expand my understanding of the Bible. I started sharing them with others and decided to create a place to share them more easily. I pray these nuggets are an encouragement to you.
