Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
Psalm 119:2
You, as an individual, must have a personal spiritual walk. This is not something that can be passed down or borrowed from another. This is your relationship with God. Can you imagine if you relied on your next-door neighbor to have a relationship with your spouse? You would not be able to talk directly to your husband, you had to send a message and receive messages from the neighbor to communicate. You were unable to see these messages unless the neighbor approved. This situation does not sound like it would work very well at all. It would be so much easier to have a personal relationship with your spouse and not have to go through the middleman.Â
This is the way it is for your spiritual walk. It is yours. Own it. Make this time important that you spend with your Lord each day. Keep an open ear to what He has to say to you. The more you would be able to spend one-on-one time with your husband in the prior explanation, the better this relationship is, the better everything will be!
