Psalm 141:2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
Incense, when it burns...it fills the room, its smoke rests on every surface, stays on the garments of those there. Here, the psalmist asks that his prayers are set forth as incense. He wants God to be surrounded with his prayers. Â
How wonderful that our prayers linger with God as the smoke of incense would. Â He will not forget our requests, our prayers will linger long after we have spoken them.
