Proverbs 3:25 Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
Fear—Strong's Definition
From H6342; a (sudden) alarm (properly the object {feared} by implication the feeling): - dread ({-ful}) {fear} (thing) great {[fear} -ly {feared]} terror.
Be not afraid of sudden fear. Isn’t it great to know that God is never surprised? This sudden fear may surprise you, but not God. Satan will attack you by using your fears. Remind yourself that God is in control and taking your fear to Him is the best thing you can do.
Desolation—Strong's Definition
From an unused root meaning to rush over; a tempest; by implication devastation: - desolate ({-ion}) {destroy} {destruction} {storm} wasteness.
Remembering that the wicked are not in control will help. Their destructive intentions towards you cannot devastate you unless you allow it. Take the upper hand and submit to God. Allow God to use these situations for good.
