Exodus 17:12 But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

Moses' hands were heavy-Heavy, great, hard, difficult, burdensome

Stayed up his hand - support or prop up

His hands were steady-Stabilized, secure, fixed

As long as Moses held the rod of God up, they were winning the race. If he let is drop, the enemy prevailed. Moses was the leader. Our Pastor's are our spiritual leaders. They are also holding up the "rod of God" for our congregations. Their arms grow weary. We need to be the Aaron and Hur and reach out to support their arms in the battle.

When Aaron and Hur stayed his hands, they became steady and the Israelites prevailed. We need to stay the hands of our Pastor's if we want our churches to prevail. What are you doing today "stay their hands"?

I began to record my thoughts each day from my devotions many years ago. I love to use the dictionary to expand my understanding of the Bible. I started sharing them with others and decided to create a place to share them more easily. I pray these nuggets are an encouragement to you.
