Sin Not With Our Lips

Job 2:9-10 [9] Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. [10] But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

Do you have difficulties in your life right now? Do those around you want you to just give up on God? Do they want you to just give in and ultimately give up?

Don't be as the foolish, sometimes God allows what seems to be terrible for our good. You may never get to know why something is happening in your life. It may not even be about you, ever thought of those effected that weren't the star of the story? For example, take a moment and think of when Joseph was in prison...the others were also in prison. They had to suffer to be part of the story. Was their suffering for their good/bad or for the will of God in Joseph's life?

In the end, we need to trust the hand of God. We need to "sin not with our lips". Allow God to use the good and evil in your life to bring you closer to Him.

I began to record my thoughts each day from my devotions many years ago. I love to use the dictionary to expand my understanding of the Bible. I started sharing them with others and decided to create a place to share them more easily. I pray these nuggets are an encouragement to you.
