Respect for God's Word

Psalm 119:6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.

When I have respect for God's Word, I shall not be ashamed.

RESPECT: To regard; to have regard to in design or purpose.

Do I regard (look towards, observe) God's Word? Basically, am I paying attention to what the Bible is instructing me to do? If yes, then I shall not be ashamed. If no, then I should expect to be ashamed.

This is similar to respecting the laws of traffic, things just go better when everyone does. If everyone would follow the guidelines, traffic should run smoothly.
