Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
The night before this verse:
Mark 1:32-34 [32] And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils. [33] And all the city was gathered together at the door. [34] And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.
Yet Christ still rose early, got alone, and spent time with God in prayer. We must not get too busy to get alone with God. In a very simple way it reminds me of charging a cell phone. There comes a time when you put it down, plug it in, and let it recharge. If you don't...it dies and is no good to you. Same with us. We need to set aside a time to sit down, "plug in" by reading the Bible and having a prayer time, to recharge spiritually. If we don't do this...we will lose all power and become a powerless Christians.
