Psalm 59:16 But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.
I love how God can be powerful against our enemies, yet still merciful and a refuge for us.
He is our defense and our hiding place. With life there are times we need the power of God to take down our enemy or stronghold that traps us. At other times we need Him to gather us into His arms and comfort and shield us from our surroundings.
Either way we still need to allow Him to do it.
We could be out there in attack mode to no avail, powerless to make change on our own. Or we could be trying to hide without His help again without hope of being safe. He is my defense and refuge, great comfort in that.
