Psalm 92:12-13 [12] The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. [13] Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.
The palm tree seems to reproduce itself pretty prolifically. I did a search and kept finding how to get rid the sprouts. Seems like no one had trouble growing them, yet many had issues getting them to stop growing.
The I looked up the cedars of Lebanon. What beautiful, majestic trees. "Multiple allusions to the cedar tree are made in the Bible, and one of the most meaningful occurs in the Book of Ezekiel, where the cedar's deep-reaching roots are said to be the cause of its grandeur: "Therefore his height was exalted above all the trees of the field, and his boughs were multiplied, and his branches became long because of the multitude of waters." Taking these two illustrations, the Christian should not only reproduce itself, but also grow sinking its roots deep in the Word of God. "Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish.".
