Our Companion

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Doth go with thee...

God is our companion. He goes with us.

Think of a team of horses. They are together pulling the load. If we put us together with God in the harness and pull together we can accomplish much. But, if we pull alone, not so much. What if we don’t stay in step with God? It will cause us to not go as far as we could have. There is also the companionship of working side by side. I think we can go farther when we feel God pulling His side of the harness. That is if we submit. If we want to pull a different direction than He is going, we will not go as far. We will also exhaust ourselves when pulling against Him. There is beauty in the harmony of the team.
