Psalm 16:6-9 [6] The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places ; yea, I have a goodly heritage. [7] I will bless the Lord , who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. [8] I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. [9] Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
Who has the reins which are directing me?
Picture a horse with blinders on. The blinders may be a nuisance to the horse, but they are for his good. The one with the reins can see the big picture and the horse only sees his direct path.
The road is prepared for us to go down, we don't always know what is down the road though.
But the Lord does! If we allow the Lord to guide us, our heart will be glad...our flesh will rest in hope
