3 John 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
My greatest goal as a parent, that my children walk in truth. God’s Truth. All the training in their upbringing is to point them towards God. The joy of seeing them serve God and raise their family the same is unspeakable.
But, what if they are not walking in truth? What does that do to a parent's heart? First thing that comes to mind is, “What did I do wrong?” Well, this might not be about you or what you have done. Each child will reach a time in their life where they have to decide. Will I live for Christ or for myself? As the parent, we cannot make this decision for them. We must continually pray for our children to make the right choice. There is comfort in the Scriptures that with the proper training, eventually they will make the right choice. But the eventually process is hard on parents.
Keep the faith.
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Once they make this decision for themselves, it will be their solid foundation.
