James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
My brethren, first off...we know he is talking to fellow Christians.
Count it all joy, what really counts? Here he is saying we should count it all joy, think of it as a good thing when we fall into temptation. Why would that be joyful? I think this more about your choice of attitude than about falling into temptation. If you can still find joy, you can climb out of temptation.
Makes me think of the song from my childhood.
Jesus, others, and you,
what a wonderful way to spell J-O-Y.
Jesus, others, and you,
In the life of each girl and each boy.
J is for Jesus,
For He gets first place.
O is for others,
You meet face to face,
Y is for you,
In whatever you do.
Put yourself last,
And spell J-O-Y!
