Proverbs 1:33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
First we have to hearken (to hear, listen to, obey). But, there is great promise to those who hearken…shall dwell safely (Proverbs 3:24 When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.)
Shall be quiet (to be at ease, be at peace, rest, rest securely, be quiet) from fear (terror, dread) of evil (evil, distress, misery, injury, calamity).
Such promise of peace when we hearken unto God.Â
Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
