1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Have you ever been really, really hungry? You go into the kitchen and next thing you know you have consumed enough calories for three days. That is how the devil is...seeking whom he may devour. He doesn't just want a little...he wants it all. There is no reasonable "portion size" with him.
This verse remind us to be sober and diligent....this is what protects us from being devoured. Don't allow him to devour you.
