Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
You can tell they are angry at you...what do you do?
Do you fan the flame and make sure they know you are the one that is right, or do you practice the soft answer technique?
Whether you are the one in the right or not, is it best to prove it right then?
Sometimes it is better to diffuse the situation with a soft answer.
Grievous words are not always necessary.
Stirring the pot just to make your point is not the best path and can be considered selfish too.
