2 Samuel 7:20-21 [20] And what can David say more unto thee? for thou, Lord God, knowest thy servant. [21] For thy word's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all these great things, to make thy servant know them.
God knows you.
Think about that. Â There are times that you don't even know you. Â
But God does.
Many times the things happening around us are to help us know God. Â When we are struggling, draw close to Him. Â Sit at His feet to learn. Â Sometimes the darkest days around us only draw is closer to God. Â
If you were never sick, would you recognize His healing power?
If you were never sad, would see the joy He brings?
If you were never lonely, would you know the comfort of His presence?
If you were never lost, would you know the peace found in Him?
If you were never hungry, would you know how to be fed by His Word?
I remember listening in on a piano lesson for our daughter. Â She loved to play bombastic pieces. Â Her teacher kept giving her quiet classical music to practice. Â She instructed her, "You will never know how to play loudly until you understand how to play softly." There is a lesson here for us today. Â
You will never understand the victory in Jesus until you understand your own defeat. Â Allow God to win in your life and you will not lose anything!
