Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
For thy pleasure...We are here at the pleasure of God.
Something you hear from people who work for the president is, "I serve at the pleasure..."
We should have that same mindset...we serve at His pleasure.
We don't get to decide totally how things are going to work out...we serve at the pleasure. We don't get to decide when...we serve at the pleasure. We don't always know why...we serve at the pleasure. We don't have the same point of view as God, He truly sees the big picture. We need to just trust and obey.
What an honor to serve at the pleasure of the President, but it does not even compare to the honor to serve at the pleasure of our Lord!
