Psalm 56:3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
What is the solution to fear? Trust.
Having a plan to avoid a situation that causes worry or fear is only part of it. We need to trust that God is in control.
For example: I am afraid I will get there late and miss something. Plan ahead and be as prepared as possible. Trust that it will all work out. What are you afraid of? Create a plan in advance to avoid the possibility of failure. Trust God to provide your needs. We cannot just trust without action on our part. This would be like saying we are afraid we will be late and not setting our alarm for the morning. We need to do our part and trust God to provide His part.
To worry about it does not solve anything.
Psalm 56:4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
Who made me? God
This means that He knows me and what I am made of.  This also means that I do not need to fear what my own flesh can do.  Do you have a physical struggle?  Something with your own flesh that seems to control you at times?  This verse was encouraging to me this morning as it reminds me that I do not need to fear what is going on in my body.  When I am afraid of some physical condition or ailment, I need not fear...I will trust in God.
