Psalm 119:4 Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.
We have been commanded to keep His precepts diligently.
Precepts are like laws.
This is like obeying traffic laws, only it is life. It is best when all obey the laws. Things work smoothly when all obey. It just takes one person doing their own thing to mess up a whole bunch of people's day.
Same with God's laws. What you do affects others. You may be the cause of another's issues because you "ran the red light" and it interfered with their day.
So, be diligent when obeying...what you do affects those around you also.
