1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

I remember our dog, Charlie, and how he would know when it was time for Gary to come home each day. He would station himself at the top of the stairs and wait. He knew Gary would be coming soon and was intently listening for him. Are we eagerly awaiting our Lord's return? This verse says, the Lord himself small descend, how amazing that He is coming to get us!

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Not only do we get to meet Him in these air ", but we "shall ever be with the Lord"!

Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Comfort one another...would this information be a comfort if others did not have assurance of their home in Heaven? The first step would be to share how they can know their destiny, then to comfort them of their future with the Lord in Heaven.
