1 Thessalonians 1:3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
Work of faith-effort of conviction of truth
Labour of love-toiling (like labor pains) towards a brother/sister in Christ
Patience of hope-steadfastly enduring towards the joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation
Can this be said about you? What is your faith based on? Is it in God or man? Are you acting on your convictions? Are you toiling with all that is in you with your brothers/sisters in Christ? Or are you fighting amongst yourselves? Where does your hope lie? Are you steadfast towards it?
Paul was thankful that these attributes could be seen in the Thessalonians. Can they be seen in you?
