2 Kings 4:3-6 [3] Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. [4] And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full. [5] So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. [6] And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.

Vs. 3-borrow not a few

Vs. 6-and the oil stayed

They had gathered many pots and when what they had gathered was full, the oil stayed.

The Lord blessed their effort.

Do we limit God by not "gathering" enough pots to fill with His miracles for our lives?  This woman did not know what God was going to do with these borrowed pots. We don't have to know what is about to happen, we just need to obey to the fullest extent and watch God provide.

Have you done what He has asked you to do today to the fullest extent possible?

Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

I began to record my thoughts each day from my devotions many years ago. I love to use the dictionary to expand my understanding of the Bible. I started sharing them with others and decided to create a place to share them more easily. I pray these nuggets are an encouragement to you.
