Deuteronomy 11:26-28 [26] Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; [27] A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day: [28] And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God

And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God

This seems pretty straightforward...

Obey--Blessing

Disobey--Curse

It all centers around the commandments of your Lord.  I have a few thoughts about this.

Commandments--You are being told what to do.  These commandments are the Bible.  You are responsible for what you should know.  You must read it!

Your Lord--This requires some follow-ship and submission on your part.  The "I can do it myself" mentality does not work when He is your Lord.

Obey--You must submit.  You are not a victim here.  You are making the choice.

Will you submit to God or to your own will?

I began to record my thoughts each day from my devotions many years ago. I love to use the dictionary to expand my understanding of the Bible. I started sharing them with others and decided to create a place to share them more easily. I pray these nuggets are an encouragement to you.
