Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
See that ye be not troubled (to be troubled in mind, to be frightened, alarmed).
Ye shall hear of all kinds of things that could frighten you, but we are told to '"be not troubled". Â How can we remain calm in the midst of a storm?
I remember once, when travelling with our family, we were driving through a snow storm and it was becoming quite heavy. As we journeyed, the ability to see where the road was and was not was becoming harder to distinguish. Â Also, the snow and wind were such that it almost seemed you were going backward. We were out in the middle of nowhere in Montana and had to continue until we reached our destination. My husband and I were becoming quite stressed in this situation, yet our children were completely oblivious to the stress we felt. They were happily playing in the back seat. They had complete trust in their parents to get to the destination.Â
This is how we should be amidst the trouble in today's world. Happily trusting that God will take care of us and get us to our destination.Â
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
