Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God...
Be still,Â
When all the problems of today are swirling around us. Â Be still. Â Stop for a second. Â Take a step back and assess the situation. Â
BE: Â To be fixed; to exist; to have a real state or existence, for a longer or shorter time.
STILL: To appease; to calm; to quiet; as tumult, agitation or excitement;Â
And know,
KNOW: To perceive with certainty; to understand clearly; to have a clear and certain perception of truth, fact, or any thing that actually exists.
I am God.
One of my children was more easily freaked out than the others. Â Many a time I would have to make her stop and hit the reset button. Â
I think this verse is sorta like that. Â No matter how great the distress around us is...be still, and know that I am God is very comforting. Â
God has not lost control of our situation. Â When we are freaking out, we need to remember that.
