Psalm 30:11-12 [11] Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; [12] To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
GLAD'NESS, n. [See Glad.] Joy, or a moderate degree of joy and exhilaration; pleasure of mind; cheerfulness.
From mourning to dancing
From sackcloth to gladness
I love how it says we are girded with gladness. Girded means to be equipped. God has equipped us with gladness. Even from the deepest despair in our lives, He will provide us gladness. Are you willing to be glad? Don't let the devil win and take away your gladness today!
