Deuteronomy 1:29-32 [29] Then I said unto you, Dread not, neither be afraid of them. [30] The Lord your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes; [31] And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the Lord thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place. [32] Yet in this thing ye did not believe the Lord your God,
We don't have to dread or be afraid...why not?
The Lord, your God, will fight for you!
The Israelites, in their captivity and journey, had God fighting and protecting them the entire time. Yet in the end, they still didn't believe.
Are we like that? Are we blind to our "cloud by day and pillar by night" that God has sent our way?
Take time to look back and see where God took care of you and met your needs. By doing this, you will strengthen your faith. Recognizing His hand in your life will make you more likely to believe He will continue to fight for you.
