Luke 15:1-2,7 [1] Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him. [2] And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them. [7] I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
1 Jesus drew the sinners and publicans near to Him for to hear. We should follow Christ's example and draw the sinners near. Our churches should not be an exclusive club, instead be an open door to receive sinners. Aren't you glad you were able to come in?
2. The Pharisees and scribes murmured. Are you murmuring at those coming in? Or are you welcoming them in with hopes to help them come to and grow in Christ?
3. Joy shall be in Heaven over one sinner that repented. Each and every time a sinner repents...joy is in heaven. Wouldn't you like to be a part of adding to the joy in heaven?
